"I grew up in Cabot, AR and obtained a B.S. from the University of AR for Medical Sciences as a dental hygienist. My husband & I started investing at a young age with a partner, in very old mobile homes. That was all we could afford and it was a way to get started. We also purchased a 24 acre parcel of land and lived in a very small farm house. He became a home builder and we built and owned multi and single family units and bought existing single family homes as rental properties. I left my hygiene career to work with the new home warranties and did property management for our units. In 1998, we hired a broker and opened a real estate company— The Blackwood Team. I became licensed in 2002 as an agent and 2010 as a broker.
In 2009, we expanded our real estate business to Little Rock and primarily listed and sold REO properties. As a woman owned company, we worked with all of the major foreclosure entities such as HUD, FNMA, VA, Chase, Citibank…and many more. We were named AR Business’s #1 Real Estate Team in AR for 2 years.
In 2017 I became an agent owner of eXp Realty and became The Blackwood Team brokered by eXp Realty. I have a team of agents in AR and now Atlanta, GA.
My experience over the years ranges from first time home buyers to seasoned buyers to investors and everything in between. With vast experience in different realms of real estate and after 20+ years of experience, I still absolutely love working in real estate!"
